Corona Chronicles - Crown of Gold

Well, we're still in Revelation 13 for today's Corolla chronicles. I hope you're enjoying this. It's powerful stuff because what it's telling us is, you know, what's what sort of they're hidden in influences in this world. And we're coming to the second beast now. You remember that the dragon has called up 2 beasts and this is the second beast.

Then I saw a second beast coming out of the earth. It had 2 horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. It exercised all authority of the first beast on its behalf and made the earth and its inhabitants worshiped the first beast whose fatal wound had been healed. It performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. Because of the signs, it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast.

It deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people great and small rich and poor, free and slave to receive a mark on their right hands and on their foreheads. So that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast or it is the number of a man. That number is 6 6 6. That's enough to frighten anyone, isn't it? 6 6 6.

0, yeah. Yeah. Sort of the heavy metal rockers kind of -- Yeah. -- chance, isn't it in some way? Yeah.

Yeah. But I mean more, again, more kind of chaotic things happening except for when you compare it to God in a sense. So And then then you see what Satan is doing. He's just trying to God, even again. So in verse 11, we have the second beast coming out of the earth this time, not out of the sea.

It's got 2 horns that look like a lamb. So again, geez. It's like And and all of it is is kind of it's an image, isn't it? It's all a picture he's trying to get us caught up with this picture instead of thinking and listening to what's actually going on, just be taken up with the the sights and and the view. Yes.

Which which is Satan's trick. It's his older trick. Yeah. He's always about image. Mhmm.

So right back in the Garden of Eden, you know, he questions the word of God. Did God really say? So he sweeps away the word of God. Yeah. And then he basically says, look look at the image.

Yeah. Look at this. Look what this could do for you. Mhmm. And he draws them in and it says that Eve when she saw that the fruit was good you know, she then -- Yeah.

-- she went towards it. So he's doing the same thing, isn't it? Image image, Jimmy. Yeah. Really interesting.

And I guess that's why Jesus and scripture in general is is so hot on. Whoever has ears let them hear. It's it's really listen to what's being said here. You because you can be you can be going back to the narnia sort of analogy where we have this donkey with a flimsy lion skin over it. It's it's it looks like a lion.

But if you listen to him, you would go, that's not as loud at all, is it? That's not the roar of the real lion. Yeah. So you've got these these 2 beasts in the first section that we've already looked at. You've got the dragon bringing up this first beast.

And that beast seems to represent political powers because it has authority over every tribe language and so forth. There's something political about that. Mhmm. And then this beast seems to have power over I think it's religion actually because it's all about image and worshiping the image and all of that sort of and signs -- Yeah. -- and wonders -- Yeah.

-- and miracles, you know. It feels very religious, doesn't he? So Satan uses all kinds of things, to bamboozle, lie, and also to attack the church. Political, you know, communism, coming in there with its political power to to eradicate the church so it thought it was going to be. And then you've got religion and religiosity.

That comes in and and makes you know, takes over. And if you don't worship this image of this beast, you know, this false scored, then you're on you're not allowed to do certain things. Yeah. Which I guess you see in verse 16 here. So the people, it 4 store people, great and small, rich and poor, free ancillary.

You see them up on their right hands, all on their foreheads. So that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is named the beast. So this idea that unless you are subscribes to the ideas of the beast unless you fall in line with it. You can't buy or sell. In other words, you can't do the you can't operate in society.

Yeah. You are kind of cast out in in its sense. Which happen is is completely happening in our in our country. Mhmm. If if you have a different view of sexuality.

Even even if you just question what is put forward as as normal now. When it when it when it wasn't normal, but now it's put forward as as normal. If you just even question it, even what I'm saying now, people go bonkers on, don't they? And say, how dare you and you're like Hitler and -- Right. -- you know, you're the beast -- Yeah.

-- as it were. Yep. Just by saying, hold it. Is that right? Yeah.

Or marriage or morality or Even, you know, doctors and nurses are saying, I I don't want to do this -- Mhmm. -- in a in a hospital a nurse. I'm about life, not about death. I don't want to bring euthanasia or abortion. You know, I don't want to do then how dare you use of scribed to this.

You can't be a nurse. You can't be a doctor. All of that is going on, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah.

And it's quite a worrying thing really because it feels feels as if our country is heading in that direction where if you don't subscribe to something and you can't buy or sell, you can't operate like a teacher who who may not subscribe to believing every gender under the sun or all of these kinds of things. There you might be kind of ostracises as a result of that. Yeah. It's I think the other thing is that this mark so that when it says there's a mark of a beast. Mhmm.

We'll come to that the 6 6 6 in a minute. And it's on the forehead -- Yeah. -- which is the mind, the thinking. Yes. So it has it sort of has power over your mind.

And it's on the right hand which stands for, you know, most people are right handed and it's it stands for the power and the things that you do and -- Yeah. -- and all of that stuff. So in other words, it's saying that this beast influences our thinking and our doing. Mhmm. And watch it because you may think you're free in just following what everybody else has done.

We are not under the shackles of a God to telling us what to do. Yeah. We're free. This is saying, no you're not. Yeah.

Your your mind and your actions are under this demonic power -- Mhmm. -- who is this liar who set on destroying it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

And they all, I guess all of them that if you got this picture of them having the mark on their forehead or their their wrist, it's they all look the same. Think they're being individual and believing in myself, and I'm I'm unique and different though. Yeah. You're all lined up exactly the same. Yes.

It's it's funny, isn't it? Yeah, we think we're free, and then we dress exactly like everybody else and all that sort of stuff. And then we've got we've got a nearly finished, but we've got number 6 6 6. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. And this this number, I think, is for this number has been made quite a scary number in the world. Through, I don't know, music and pop culture and but actually She's all Carrie and but no. Now what's it called? My wife What's it called?

Carrie. Is it? I don't I can't I can't remember. Those those those films. You're right.

You carry on? No. No. Not carry on. They were exorcist.

That's what I make those sort of things. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's sort of been, like, given power behind but actually I wasn't saying that your wife is 6 6 6.

Yeah. No idea. No idea. Actually, there is there is no power, but what there's there's there's not real power behind it. Because if if 7 is the perfect number -- Yeah.

-- and 7 7 7 is is god's number because it's perfection, perfection, perfection. Yep. 6 6 6 is imperfection, imperfection -- Yeah. -- imperfection. Not God.

Not God. And that I feel completely disarms that number. And it used to be something that personally frightened me because of the world and it's kind of But actually, when you see it in in the in the context of of Christ, 7 7 7. God, perfect. It's And this is the trinity again, isn't it?

Mhmm. Being mimicked an 8 Yes. But it is never 7. 6 is never 7. Never god.

Never god. Never god. And in the end is not the 1 we want to be worshiping. Yeah. We wanna be worshiping.

The thrice holy God. Mhmm. There we go.
