Questions

Contact us if you have any more questions.

What does the church believe? Arrow icon Arrow icon

In a nutshell, we believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ; his life, death, resurrection and ascension as described in the New Testament. We try to live similarly to the early Christian church who “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” in Acts 2:42.

For much more information on our beliefs and the doctrines we hold to, we recommend you read our Statement of Faith.

What’s the gospel? Arrow icon Arrow icon

The word gospel simply means good news. The Christian good news can be summarised in John 3:16 which says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

For more information on what this gospel means for you, we recommend you read our Statement of Faith and listen to our podcast A-Z of Christianity.

What should I wear? Arrow icon Arrow icon

There is no prescribed way of dressing to attend Cornerstone. Most people will wear either casual or smart-casual clothing.

Who runs the church? Arrow icon Arrow icon

Cornerstone has a dedicated group of elders who oversee all aspects of the church. We also have a staff team who are employed by the church, including our pastors and administrators.

Additionally, we rely on church members as volunteers to run the variety of ministries at the church, from children’s work to service set-up.
