At Cornerstone we regularly take time to pray for Christians in other countries. Dan Collins has compiled this list of prayer points for Syria.
For the Christians…
Strength, wisdom and perseverance to continue trusting God despite persecution
Clothes, food and shelter for those forced to flee their homes
Guidance on how to live Godly lives in a testing environment
Comfort and peace for those who have:
- been injured in the fighting
- lost loved ones
- suffered beatings, kidnappings or rape
For the government…
Focus on God to follow his rule in their lives and to govern wisely
For the opposition forces…
Respond to the witness of the Christians by turning to God in repentance and faith, and ceasing the violence and persecution
